GIANT is a strategy board game for two or more players, created by Reiner Knizia and first published in 2004. The game is played on a hexagonal grid, with each player controlling a number of giant meeples. The goal of the game is to be the first player to get all of their giants to the opposite side of the board.
The game is played in turns, with each player taking one action per turn. The available actions are:
* Move a giant one space in any direction.
* Build a wall, which blocks the movement of giants.
* Destroy a wall.
* Merge two giants into one larger giant.
* Split a giant into two smaller giants.
The game ends when one player gets all of their giants to the opposite side of the board. If no player can do this after a certain number of turns, the game ends in a draw.
GIANT is a simple game to learn, but it is surprisingly challenging to master. The game requires players to think strategically about their moves, and to anticipate the moves of their opponents. GIANT is a great game for both casual and experienced gamers.
Key Features:
* Simple to learn, but challenging to master
* Great for both casual and experienced gamers
* Can be played with 2-4 players
* Average playtime of 30-45 minutes
Awards:
* Spiel des Jahres Nominee (2004)
* Deutscher Spiele Preis Nominee (2004)
