Cassava

Cassava is a strategy board game for two or four players. The game is played on a hexagonal board with 19 hexes on each side. Each player has 12 cassava plants, which they place on the board at the start of the game. The goal of the game is to be the first player to get all of their cassava plants to the other side of the board.

Gameplay

The game is played in turns. On their turn, a player can move one of their cassava plants one hex in any direction. They can also capture an opponent's cassava plant by moving their own plant onto the same hex. Captured plants are removed from the board.

Winning

The first player to get all of their cassava plants to the other side of the board wins the game.

Strategy

There are many different strategies that can be used to win at Cassava. Some common strategies include:

* Control the center: The center of the board is the most important area, as it gives you the most control over the board. Try to place your cassava plants in the center and defend them from your opponents.

* Block your opponents: Once you have control of the center, you can start to block your opponents from moving their cassava plants. You can do this by placing your plants in front of their plants or by capturing their plants.

* Move your plants in groups: It is easier to defend your cassava plants if they are in groups. Try to move your plants in groups of three or more, so that they can support each other.

* Be patient: Cassava is a slow-paced game. Don't try to rush your opponents. Take your time and make sure you are making the best moves possible.

Variations

There are many different variations of Cassava. Some common variations include:

* Team Cassava: This variation is played with two teams of two players. Each team has 12 cassava plants, and the goal is to be the first team to get all of their plants to the other side of the board.

* Giant Cassava: This variation is played on a larger board with 25 hexes on each side. Each player has 16 cassava plants, and the goal is to be the first player to get all of their plants to the other side of the board.

* Cassava with Obstacles: This variation is played on a board with obstacles, such as mountains and rivers. Players must find a way to navigate their cassava plants around the obstacles to get them to the other side of the board.
