Omroep Gelderland is a Dutch regional public broadcaster for the province of Gelderland. It is a member of the Nederlandse Publieke Omroep (NPO), the Dutch public broadcasting system. Omroep Gelderland produces and broadcasts radio, television, and online content in the Gelderland dialect and Dutch.
History
Omroep Gelderland was founded in 1983 as a merger of three regional broadcasters: Radio Gelderland, TV Gelderland, and Omroep Oost-Gelderland. The new broadcaster was initially called Omroep Gelderse Vallei, but changed its name to Omroep Gelderland in 1992.
Programming
Omroep Gelderland's programming includes news, current affairs, sports, and entertainment. The broadcaster also produces a number of documentaries and features on topics related to Gelderland.
Radio
Omroep Gelderland's radio station, Radio Gelderland, is available on FM and DAB+ in Gelderland. The station broadcasts a mix of music, news, and talk shows.
