SajIntroduction
Saj is a classic card game of strategy and luck, played with a standard 52-card deck. The objective of the game is to be the first player to get rid of all their cards.
Setup
* The game is played with 2 to 4 players.
* The deck is shuffled and dealt evenly to all players.
* The remaining cards are placed face down in a pile in the center of the table. This is the draw pile.
Gameplay
* The player to the left of the dealer starts the game.
* On their turn, a player must play a card from their hand that matches the rank or suit of the card on top of the discard pile.
* If a player cannot play a card, they must draw a card from the draw pile.
* If the player draws a card that can be played, they may play it immediately.
* If a player draws a card that cannot be played, their turn ends.
* The game continues until one player has gotten rid of all their cards.
Special Cards
* Ace: Can be played on any card.
* 2: Forces the next player to draw two cards.
* Joker: Can be played on any card and allows the player to change the suit.
Scoring
* The first player to get rid of all their cards wins the game.
* The other players receive penalty points equal to the number of cards remaining in their hands.
Variations
There are many variations of Saj, including:
* Crazy Eights: 8s can be played on any card and allow the player to change the suit.
* Slapjack: When a Jack is played, the first player to slap the card wins all the cards in the discard pile.
* Speed: Players race to get rid of all their cards as quickly as possible.
Strategy
* Pay attention to the cards that have been played and try to anticipate what cards other players might have.
* Hold onto high-value cards, such as Aces and Kings, until you can play them on a low-value card.
* If you have a lot of low-value cards, try to get rid of them as quickly as possible.
* Don't be afraid to draw cards if you need to, but be aware that you may draw a card that cannot be played.
