The VRT app is your companion in mobile everyday life with buses and trains in the Trier region, i.e. in the Eifel, in the Hunsrück, on the Moselle, Ruwer, Saar and Sauer as well as to Luxembourg and Belgium. And from April 3, 2023 you can also buy your Germany ticket here!
The most important functions at a glance
- find ride -
With the VRT app you have direct access to the VRT timetable information, which also shows you your connection beyond the VRT area. Choose your location as the starting point, enter the destination, and you will be shown the next trips from the nearest stop. Of course, this is also possible from any starting point and at any time. A click on the desired trip shows you the detailed course as a map and as text.
- Price display and online ticket purchase -
The price for a single ticket is automatically displayed for all journeys within the VRT network area. If you click on the word "ticket" below, the app will show you the prices of all tickets for this connection. You can then buy all single and day tickets directly online by clicking on the shopping cart and they will be provided with a barcode in the app.
- Buy Germany ticket -
From April 3, 2023, you can also buy, store and manage your Germany ticket directly in the VRT app.
- book on-call buses -
If the RufBus symbol with the telephone receiver appears on the journey you select, you must register at least one hour before departure. This is also very easy to do directly in the VRT app by clicking on the symbol.
- Current fault reports -
In the VRT app, in addition to current information messages via pop-up, you will find all relevant disruption reports from our transport companies clearly sorted by line.
- Real-time arrival times -
If there is a delay, the red number after the arrival time in the VRT app usually shows you exactly to the minute when your bus or train is expected to arrive. This gives a good feeling of security when you are sitting somewhere at a bus stop.
- Personal space -
In your personal area in the VRT app you can set fixed goals, e.g. B. home, to school or to work, and always have the next departures prominently displayed. You then have the opportunity to see exactly how many minutes you have left until your next bus leaves your bus stop. The same applies to current disruption reports on your preferred lines.
