WriteDown

Gameplay

WriteDown is a multiplayer word game where players compete to create words from a shared pool of letters. The game is played on a grid of 15x15 squares, with each square containing a single letter. Players take turns placing words on the grid, connecting them to existing words to form longer and higher-scoring words.

Scoring

Words are scored based on their length and the value of the letters used. Common letters like E and A are worth 1 point, while rarer letters like Q and Z are worth more. Words that use multiple letters from the same row or column receive bonus points.

Special Tiles

The grid contains special tiles that can provide additional bonuses or penalties. These tiles include:

* Double Letter: Doubles the score of any letter placed on it.

* Triple Letter: Triples the score of any letter placed on it.

* Double Word: Doubles the score of the entire word placed on it.

* Triple Word: Triples the score of the entire word placed on it.

* Blank Tile: Can be used as any letter.

Strategy

To succeed in WriteDown, players must use a combination of strategy and vocabulary skills. Some key strategies include:

* Control the center: The center squares provide the most opportunities for connecting words.

* Use high-scoring letters: Words that use rare letters or multiple vowels can score significantly more points.

* Create long words: Longer words earn more points, but they can also be more difficult to place.

* Block opponents: Place words to prevent opponents from using valuable tiles or scoring high.

* Use blank tiles wisely: Blank tiles can be used to create valuable words or extend existing ones.

Winning

The game ends when one player has used all of their tiles or there are no more valid moves. The player with the highest score wins.
