From June 4th to 6th, 2025, the "Hongmeng Ecological School·Game Special Class" carefully created by Huawei Game Center and Hongmeng Ecological Academy and co-organized by Guangzhou Game Industry Association officially opened in Guangzhou. This special team attracted more than 110 game developers from all over the country to gather in Yangcheng. Through a three-day systematic course and practical drill, they deeply explored the technological frontiers of Hongmeng game development and jointly drew a new blueprint for Hongmeng game ecosystem.
In order to help developers seize the opportunities of Hongmeng ecosystem, Huawei Game Center officially launched a developer training program for the game industry in March this year, and launched supporting game official websites, communities, video open classes and other online resources. The "Hongmeng Ecological School·Game Special Class" training camp opened this time is the first offline teaching and exchange activity carried out by Huawei in the game industry. The training content revolves around the entire life cycle of Hongmeng game development and launches, tailoring complete and detailed course content for game developers, enabling developers to quickly understand Hongmeng’s key technologies, adapt from underlying OS to game key engines, helping developers to take the "first step" of Hongmeng, continuously stimulate developers’ source of innovation and promote the prosperity and development of the Hongmeng game ecosystem.
Empowering throughout the cycle, creating a "accelerator" for Hongmeng game development
It is reported that the "Hongmeng Ecological School·Game Special Class" takes the full cycle empowerment of game development as the core pain points of Hongmeng's game industry, and has carefully designed a curriculum system covering the entire process of technology development in response to the core pain points of Hongmeng's game industry. From the basic capabilities of the Hongmeng system to the full process of game adaptation, from performance optimization to the on-the-shelf operation, the special team has fully improved the developers' Hongmeng game development capabilities through the three-dimensional teaching model of "online learning + offline teaching + practical Q&A + ability certification".
The "Hongmeng Ecological School·Game Special Class" course design is progressing step by step. The first day's course focuses on the HarmonyOS NEXT development framework, and helps developers build underlying technical thinking through in-depth explanation of tool chains and code practice. The next day's course focuses on breaking through the HarmonyOS NEXT game adaptation problem, combining the migration practice of mainstream engines, and providing expert guidance for high-frequency technical pain points such as three-party library integration; the final course focuses on the introduction of Hongmeng game listing process and performance tuning plan, helping Hongmeng developers achieve a full process closed loop from development to operation.
Camp completion certification is issued to witness the growth of developers
In order to build a complete developer growth system, Huawei Game Center has launched the HarmonyOS game developer certification exam, which will comprehensively evaluate developers' mastery of the entire process of Hongmeng game development. Primary certification has been launched, and advanced certification will also be launched in the future. The certification system adopts a closed-loop training model of "learning + practice + assessment". Developers must complete the systematic course study and pass the official certification exam before they can obtain the corresponding qualification certificate.
Through this offline training camp training, nearly half of the students passed the certification and issued certificates on site. This "combination of academic and testing" method not only ensures the quantifiable evaluation of the training effect, but also helps developers check for omissions and fill in the gaps, truly transforming classroom knowledge into practical capabilities.
