게임 목표
고스톱 오리지널 멍투의 목표는 다른 플레이어보다 먼저 모든 카드를 없애는 것이다.
게임 준비
* 1개의 표준 52장짜리 카드 덱과 1개의 강아지 카드를 사용한다.
* 플레이어는 무작위로 10장의 카드를 받는다.
* 나머지 카드는 뒷면이 위로 향한 상태로 중앙에 놓인다. 이것을 "패"라고 한다.
게임 진행
* 플레이어는 차례대로 패에서 카드를 1장 뽑거나 捨て(스테)라고 불리는 버려진 카드 더미에서 카드를 1장 뽑는다.
* 플레이어는 자신의 손에 있는 카드로 조합을 만들어야 한다. 조합은 다음과 같다.
* 쌍둥이: 같은 숫자의 카드 두 장
* 트리플: 같은 숫자의 카드 세 장
* 쿼드러플: 같은 숫자의 카드 네 장
* 스트레이트: 연속된 숫자의 카드 다섯 장
* 플러시: 같은 수트의 카드 다섯 장
* 풀 하우스: 트리플과 쌍둥이
