Inside Out

Inside Out is a 2015 American computer-animated comedy-drama film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The film follows the emotions of an 11-year-old girl named Riley Andersen as she and her family move from Minnesota to San Francisco.

Riley's emotions are personified as five characters: Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust. Joy is the leader of the emotions and is always trying to keep Riley happy. Sadness is often overlooked and misunderstood, but she plays an important role in helping Riley process her emotions. Anger is quick to react and often gets Riley into trouble. Fear is cautious and always looking out for danger. Disgust is fastidious and keeps Riley away from anything that is dirty or unappealing.

When Riley and her family move to San Francisco, her emotions are thrown into disarray. Joy and Sadness are accidentally sucked into Riley's subconscious mind, and Anger, Fear, and Disgust are left in charge of Riley's emotions. Without Joy, Riley becomes withdrawn and depressed.

Joy and Sadness must find their way back to Riley's headquarters in order to restore her emotional balance. Along the way, they encounter Bing Bong, Riley's imaginary friend from her childhood.
