Gameplay
PAC-MAN is an iconic arcade game released in 1980. The objective is to guide the titular character, a yellow circle with a mouth, through a maze while consuming all the dots. Four ghosts, Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde, chase PAC-MAN around the maze, trying to catch him. If a ghost touches PAC-MAN, he loses a life.
PAC-MAN can consume power pellets, which temporarily turn the ghosts blue and make them vulnerable to being eaten. When a ghost is eaten, it returns to its home in the center of the maze and respawns.
Levels
The game consists of 256 levels, each with a different maze layout. The mazes become progressively more difficult as the player progresses, with narrower passages and more ghosts.
Special Features
In addition to the standard gameplay, PAC-MAN features several special features:
* Warp Tunnels: Tunnels located on either side of the maze allow PAC-MAN to instantly travel from one side to the other.
* Fruit: Randomly appearing fruits provide bonus points.
* Ms. PAC-MAN: A female version of PAC-MAN with slightly different gameplay mechanics.
