FeG Bochum is a German football club based in Bochum, North Rhine-Westphalia. The club was founded in 1928 as Freie Evangelische Gemeinde Bochum (Free Evangelical Congregation Bochum), and currently plays in the Kreisliga B Bochum (VIII).
History
FeG Bochum was founded on 15 March 1928 by a group of young men from the Free Evangelical Church in Bochum. The club initially played friendly matches against other local teams, and in 1933 joined the Westdeutsche Fußballverband (West German Football Association).
After World War II, FeG Bochum resumed playing in the Kreisliga Bochum (VI), and in 1954 won promotion to the Landesliga Westfalen (V). The club remained in the Landesliga for several seasons, but was relegated back to the Kreisliga in 1962.
FeG Bochum spent the next few decades in the Kreisliga, before winning promotion to the Bezirksliga Westfalen (VII) in 1983. The club remained in the Bezirksliga for several seasons, but was relegated back to the Kreisliga in 1992.
In 2008, FeG Bochum won promotion back to the Bezirksliga, and in 2011 won promotion to the Landesliga. The club remained in the Landesliga for two seasons, but was relegated back to the Bezirksliga in 2013.
FeG Bochum currently plays in the Kreisliga B Bochum (VIII).
Stadium
FeG Bochum plays its home matches at the Sportplatz an der Castroper Straße in Bochum. The stadium has a capacity of 1,000 spectators.
