TRUCHAMPObjective:
TRUCHAMP is a card game where players compete to be the first to reach a target score by capturing cards from a central deck and playing them to create sets and runs.
Gameplay:
1. Setup: A deck of 108 cards is used, with cards ranging from 1 to 13 in four suits (spades, hearts, diamonds, clubs). Each player is dealt 10 cards, and the remaining cards are placed face down in a draw pile.
2. Turn: On each turn, a player draws a card from either the draw pile or the discard pile. They can then play any combination of cards from their hand to form sets (three or four of a kind) or runs (three or more cards in sequence of the same suit).
3. Capturing: When a player plays a set or run that matches the suit and number of a card in the central deck, they capture that card and add it to their hand.
4. Special Cards: There are three special cards in the deck:
- Wild: Can be used as any card to complete a set or run.
- Draw Two: Forces the next player to draw two cards.
- Reverse: Reverses the direction of play.
5. Discard: After playing cards, the player discards one card face up to the discard pile.
6. Scoring: Players score points for the cards they capture. Sets are worth 1 point, runs are worth 2 points, and wilds are worth 3 points.
7. Winning: The first player to reach the target score (typically 100 points) wins the game.
Variations:
There are several variations of TRUCHAMP, including:
* Speed TRUCHAMP: Played with a reduced deck size and faster gameplay.
* Team TRUCHAMP: Played in teams of two, with players working together to capture cards.
* Double TRUCHAMP: Played with two decks of cards, increasing the number of sets and runs available.
