The Bangalore Metro Train is a rapid transit system serving the city of Bangalore, India. It is the second-largest metro system in India after the Delhi Metro. The metro network consists of two operational lines, the Purple Line and the Green Line, with a total length of 56 kilometers (35 miles). The Bangalore Metro project was first proposed in 1997. However, construction did not begin until 2006. The first phase of the project, which included the Purple Line, was completed in 2011. The Green Line was opened in 2016.

* Red Line: The Red Line will run from Gottigere in the south to Nagawara in the north. It will be 21 kilometers (13 miles) long and have 15 stations.

* Blue Line: The Blue Line will run from HSR Layout in the south to Kempegowda International Airport in the north. It will be 50 kilometers (31 miles) long and have 30 stations.

The expansion is expected to be completed by 2025. Once completed, the Bangalore Metro will have a total length of 150 kilometers (93 miles) and 125 stations.
