Hive is a two-player abstract strategy game with a captivatingly simple premise: surround your opponent's queen bee before they surround yours. Unlike traditional board games with a fixed playing area, Hive unfolds organically. The game pieces, or tiles, are double-sided hexagonal pieces representing various insects, each with unique movement capabilities. These tiles form the playing area itself, creating a dynamic and ever-shifting landscape. The game begins with each player receiving their set of 11 tiles: one queen bee, two spiders, two beetles, three grasshoppers, and three soldier ants.
